Campus Tour
We believe it is very important for our applicants to fully understand the philosophical foundations of a WNS education.
During the Admission Presentation & Campus Tour, you will learn about our philosophy and program, hear from our Head of School and 8th grade students, and take a tour of the campus.
Tours can be scheduled through our inquiry form or through your parent portal after you have applied.

Application
To apply for 2025-26, for preschool, children should be 2 years 9 months by September 2025 (birth dates between June 2021 – December 2022). For DK, children should be 4 years 4 months by September 2025 (birth dates between June 2020 – May 2021). Applications for the 2025-26 school year are available online beginning August 15, 2024. The application deadline for priority consideration for preschool and DK is December 2, 2024. The sibling application deadline is November 1, 2024. Applications received by the priority deadline are guaranteed a parent/guardian conversation and play date. The final application deadline is January 8, 2025. Applications received after the deadline are considered on a rolling basis as space allows. Please create a Parent Portal account to begin the application.
Please note that we do not hold wait lists for future years. Please apply the year before your child ages into the program.
Admission decisions take developmental readiness into consideration. If your child’s DOB just misses an age cutoff, please contact the admission office to discuss applying.
Teacher Recommendation
For children who already attend a daycare or preschool program, please send the recommendation form directly to your child’s current teacher through your Parent Portal checklist. If your child is not enrolled in a daycare or preschool program, please contact Naomi Austin in the admission office via phone at (310) 574-8650, x146 or email at naustin@wns-la.org. Teacher recommendations must be completed after November 1, 2024 and are due by January 10, 2025. Your child’s teacher/school will send this form directly to WNS.
Parent/Guardian Conversation & Child Play Date
Please schedule your parent/guardian conversation through your Parent Portal. All parents/guardians must participate together in one time slot. These will be scheduled as Zoom meetings, occurring between October 2024 and February 2025.
Notification
Notification letters are emailed February 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Enrollment contracts and the non-refundable deposit are due no later than 12:00 pm on March 4, 2025.

Please schedule your parent/guardian conversation and student visit through your Parent Portal. All parents/guardians must participate together in one time slot.
While on campus, students participate in a one-on-one assessment and chat with a member of our admission team, as well as have the opportunity to participate in a classroom activity with their grade-level cohort. These will be occurring between December 2024 and February 2025.

For 6th grade applicants, please send the teacher recommendation form directly to your child’s current teacher through your Parent Portal checklist. 7th grade applicants are required to submit two teacher recommendation letters (English and math). Please send the recommendation forms directly to your child’s current English and math teachers through your Parent Portal checklist. If your child has the same teacher for English and math, please submit the second recommendation request to another current teacher, administrator, or coach/tutor. Teacher recommendations must be completed after November 1, 2024, and are due by January 10, 2025. Your child’s teacher/school will send this directly to WNS.

It is of the utmost importance that our admission process is an equitable process for all students. For this reason, WNS no longer requires the ISEE or SSAT as a part of the admission process.
Applicants are welcome to submit the Character Skills Snapshot, which is an optional part of the admission process. Please visit https://ssat.org/snapshot for more information on the Character Skills Snapshot which can be taken online at home.
Parent/Guardian Conversation and Student Visit

Separately, students will participate in a small group experience on campus.

During our campus tours, you have the opportunity to hear from 8th grade students and our Head of School, followed by a campus tour led by a WNS administrator.

This event is for parents/caregivers and students interested in applying to 6th or 7th grades. Parents get a deep dive presentation from WNS staff and faculty while prospective students enjoy fun and interactive classroom experiences led by WNS faculty.

WNS ECC presents our second annual family-friendly open house, where young children can immerse themselves in the magic of our early childhood center. Enjoy seasonal crafts, outside games and exploration, face painting, petting zoo, live music, and more. This event is open to the public, for children age 5 and under, and their grownups.
